Rubber Spur — Downward-Hooked Blunt Neck, Black Rubber-Coated Heel Band & Open Claw Strap Ends
The BI-041 is a rubber-coated spur with a downward-hooked blunt chrome neck (no rowel), thick black rubber heel band, and open claw/fork strap ends. The neck bends sharply downward at approximately 90°, positioning the blunt tip at a lower angle for a more directional, targeted contact — without any sharpness or rowel. Combined with the boot-protecting rubber heel band and secure open claw strap fittings, the BI-041 is a practical, precise choice for riders who want a directional blunt contact with full boot protection.
- Short neck with downward hook — smooth chrome stub that bends sharply downward at ~90°; no rowel; directional blunt contact at a lower angle
- Black rubber-coated U-shaped heel band — thick flexible rubber coating over the metal band; protects boot leather and flexes comfortably around the heel
- Open claw/fork strap ends — wide U-shaped three-prong chrome fittings on both arms; secure, open strap attachment
- Two-tone black & chrome finish — clean contrast between the black rubber band and polished chrome neck and claw hardware
- Suitable for — dressage, classical riding, sensitive horses, and riders who want a directional hooked contact with the comfort of a rubber heel band
A directional rubber spur with a distinctive hooked neck — the BI-041 delivers a targeted, downward-angled blunt contact with zero sharpness, combining the precision of a hooked neck with the comfort and boot protection of a rubber heel band. Sold as a pair.
